2021 Cover Shoot

The first edition of Big Country Blitz featured logos from the all the area teams, but for 2021 I wanted to do something else.

Over the years I’ve been able to gather the best players from whatever area I was doing a magazine for together for a cover shoot, and I’m happy that it worked out to get the Big Country’s best together this year.

So here’s sending out a big thank you to three of the best seniors-to-be in the Big Country for coming to Abilene for the cover shoot for the 2021 edition of Big Country Blitz: Jim Ned RB/LB Xavier Wishert, Sweetwater QB Leo Holsey and Cisco TE/LB Dawson Hearne.

Regina Penney from Penney Photography and Design took the pictures and is putting what will surely be an amazing cover together. Look for the cover in early August and more on these three stars in the pages of Big Country Blitz.

Thank you to Hardin-Simmons for letting us shoot on the field at Shelton Stadium, and thanks to God for the 15-minute rain-free window to get the shoot in before everyone got soaked!
