2024 Big Country Blitz 1A Preseason Defensive MVP: Tallon Hayes

The first day of practice is finally here!

Games are still a few weeks away, but practice fields across the Lone Star State are filled with teams getting their seasons started.

Over the next two weeks, we will take a preseason look at the best of the best in the Big Country, starting with Class 1A defense this week.

Benjamin’s Tallon Hayes is the pick for the 1A Preseason Defensive MVP after earning the 1A Division II Defensive MVP award a year ago and helping Benjamin earn its second straight state championship.

Hayes, now a senior, had 97 tackles, forced four fumbles, recovered four fumbles and had an interception last season. He was also the Region II Defensive MVP and the District Defensive MVP.
