Big Country Blitz 4A Preseason Defensive MVP: Quinten McCarty

Brownwood defensive lineman Quinten McCarty is the preseason pick as the best 4A defensive player in the Big Country.

McCarty was hard to stop in the trenches last season, picking 128 tackles, 17 of those for losses. He recorded two sacks and recovered two fumbles on his way to earning the District Defensive MVP award.
