Big Country Blitz 5A Preseason Defensive MVP: Hayden Wright

Wylie junior safety Hayden Wright is the preseason pick as the best 5A defensive player in the Big Country.

Wright picked off nine passes as a sophomore, including three in the Bulldogs District 2-5A Division II clinching victory over Cooper in the regular season finale.

He was named the District Co-Defensive Newcomer of the Year.
