AMARILLO (4-4, 3-1) AT ABILENE HIGH (7-2, 5-0)

SERIES HISTORY: Tied 11-11

Abilene High can wrap up a perfect run through district play and claim its first outright district title since 2016 with a win over Amarillo High Friday night.

The Eagles were tested severely by Lubbock Cooper but have had no troubled with the rest of 2-5A Division I, cruising pas Monterey, Tascosa, Caprock and Coronado by a combined 219-44.

Amarillo High enters the matchup as a clear-cut playoff team, but they’d like to get a piece of the district title. They can do so with a win and hope things up as a three-way tie between they, the Eagles and the Pirates.

The Amarillo offense has been pretty good in district play, averaging 41.3 points per game. The defense has been good against Tascosa, Caprock and Coronado, allowing just 27 points, but they did allow 49 to Lubbock Cooper in a 49-19 loss.

The Sandies got the best of the Eagles 17-10 last season in Amarillo in the first meeting of the two teams since 2001.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Abilene High Potential bi-district matchups: El Paso Hanks (5-5) or El Paso Parkland (4-4). Hanks and Parkland play this week and the winner will have the upper hand for the four-seed from District 1.

Ysleta (4-4) and Bel Air (7-1) come into play if the Eagles fall to Amarillo on Friday.

COOPER (3-5, 2-1) AT LUBBOCK HIGH (2-6, 0-3) - THURSDAY

SERIES HISTORY: Cooper leads 9-0

Cooper’s late season turnaround and playoff push continues with another winnable game at Lubbock High Thursday night.

The Cougars have back-to-back big wins over Palo Duro and Plainview after a district opening loss to Rider and now look like a solid bet to reach the playoffs once again.

The Cooper defense has given up 21 and 14 points the last two weeks, the fewest they have allowed in any games all season.

The Coogs topped the Westerners 54-7 last season to stay unbeaten all time in the series.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

The Cougars could end up anywhere from one to four, still, as far as seeding goes. If they win out and Rider is upset by Plainview or Lubbock, then Cooper could end up tied for first and be the two-seed because of their loss to the Raiders earlier in the season. If Cooper wins out and Rider somehow loses both then the Coogs would be the top seed. If they win out, they would be the two-seed regardless of how Rider does, which gets you a home bi-district game instead of a road trip to El Paso.

Cooper Potential bi-district matchups: Canutillo (6-2), El Paso Andress (3-5) El Paso Chapin (5-3), El Paso Burges (1-7) or El Paso Jefferson (1-7).

PALO DURO (3-4, 1-2) AT WYLIE (5-3, 2-1)

SERIES HISTORY: Wylie leads 1-0

The Bulldogs host Palo Duro this week in a key game for the playoff hopes of both squads.

Wylie had no issues with Lubbock High on the road last week to improve to 2-1 in district play, while the Dons fell on the road to district leading Rider 49-20.

The Bulldogs scored a season high 55 points last week, following a season low 14 the week before against Rider.

The Bulldogs got a last-minute victory in Amarillo to beat the Dons 27-24 last season in the first ever game between the two teams.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

The Bulldogs would be in for sure with a win.

Wylie could still finish anywhere in the top four, depending on how things go. The most likely scenario if Wylie wins out would be getting the two seed, as I don’t see Rider losing to Plainview or Lubbock High.

STAT LEADERS

Darien Lewis: 75-129, 729 yds, 8 TD, 7 int; 758 yds, 8 TD rushing

ANDREWS (4-4, 1-1) AT #7 BROWNWOOD (8-1, 3-0)

SERIES HISTORY: Brownwood leads 3-2

Brownwood already has a share of the district title and can make it back-to-back outright championships with a win over Andrews.

The Mustangs switched to the Slot T this season on offense and have been racking up the yards on the ground. They average 390.4 yards per game on the ground and have only completed four passes the entire season. They’ve only attempted 17! All four of their completions have gone for touchdowns as teams, rightly so, are focused in on the Mustang ground game.

Andrews fell 52-14 their last time out to Estacado, a team the Lions just dominated on the road 35-14. Brownwood allowed just 59 yards of total offense in the game, but Estacado was playing without injured star running back Bobby Ross.

The Lions mashed the Mustangs 47-3 on the road last season in the first matchup between the two teams since 2016.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

The Lions already have the top seed in the playoffs from the district courtesy of their win over Estacado last week and will earn the outright district title with a win over Andrews this week.

Brownwood Potential bi-district matchups: El Paso Irvin (1-7) or El Paso Austin (3-5).

STAT LEADERS

Ike Hall: 79-142, 1307 yds, 11 TD, 5 int; 1069 yds, 16 TD rushing

SWEETWATER (5-3, 1-1) AT HIRSCHI (4-3, 2-0)

SERIES HISTORY: Hirschi leads 5-0

After a rough 58-14 outing against Graham the Mustangs hit the road to face the only team that has beaten Graham this season.

Wichita Falls Hirschi won at Snyder 26-7 last week to stay atop the standings in District 3-4A Division II. They topped the Steers the week before 27-26.

The Huskies beat Sweetwater 53-7 a year ago to move to a perfect 5-0 all-time in the series.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Hirschi and Graham look to be locks, with Greenwood, Snyder, and Sweetwater battling it out for the final two spots.

If Sweetwater loses at Hirschi this week, then their Week 11 matchup with rival Snyder could decide a playoff spot.

Greenwood is still in the mix but has to play at Graham this week and host Hirschi in Week 11.

Snyder is off this week but could still sneak into the playoffs with a win over Sweetwater in the finale.

Sweetwater Potential bi-district matchups: Glen Rose (4-4), Benbrook (6-2), Godley (3-5) or Hillsboro (4-4)
Snyder Potential bi-district matchups: Glen Rose (4-4), Benbrook (6-2), Godley (3-5) or Hillsboro (4-4)

#9 CLYDE (8-0, 3-0) AT IOWA PARK (3-5, 2-1)

SERIES HISTORY: Iowa Park leads 2-1

Clyde has another huge game in its quest to bring home a district championship. The now ninth-ranked Bulldogs head north again this week to take on Iowa Park a week after beating Bowie 48-21.

Iowa Park had a chance to make this a battle of unbeatens but fell to Vernon last week 48-27 and now sits in a three-way tie for second with the Lions and Jim Ned.

The Hawks beat the Bulldogs 44-7 last season in the first meeting between the teams since 1991.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Clyde will need to win out to win an outright district championship, but they would have at least a share with a win in one of their last two games (at Iowa Park, vs. Breckenridge).

Clyde Potential bi-district matchups: Ponder (4-4), Boyd (1-8) or Peaster (2-6)

STAT LEADERS

Blake Carr: 84-136, 1745 yds, 25 TD, 4 int; 1167 yds, 15 TD rushing

BOWIE (1-6, 0-3) AT BRECKENRIDGE (3-5, 0-3)

SERIES HISTORY: Breckenridge leads 13-7

Breckenridge looks to snap a district winless streak and remain in the playoff hunt with a home win over Bowie.

The Jackrabbits are coming off a loss to Clyde, while the Buckaroos battled hard for a half before falling at Jim Ned 42-14.

The Bucks beat Bowie 33-0 in 2022 and have won the last five meetings in the series.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Breckenridge is not technically eliminated but would have to beat Bowie and Clyde and get a lot of help to make the postseason.

Breckenridge Potential bi-district matchups: Brock (5-3)

STAT LEADERS

JIM NED (6-2, 2-1) AT VERNON (7-1, 2-1)

SERIES HISTORY: Jim Ned leads 1-0

The Indians head to Vernon in a key game that could very well end up deciding the number two seed in the playoffs out of District 3-3A Division I.

The winner will at least still have a shot at a share of a district title if Clyde should falter down the stretch.

Jim Ned is coming off a 42-14 win over Breckenridge, while Vernon took down Iowa Park 48-27.

The teams met for the first-time last year, a 28-7 Jim Ned victory on their home field.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Clyde, Jim Ned, Vernon, and Iowa Park are all just about playoff locks at this point.

Jim Ned, Vernon and Iowa Park need to win out and hope Clyde loses to have a shot at the one seed in the playoffs.

Jim Ned Potential bi-district matchups: Whitesboro (4-4), Paradise (8-1), Ponder (4-4) or Boyd (1-8)

TLCA SAN ANGELO (4-4, 1-2) AT BALLINGER (0-8, 0-3)

SERIES HISTORY: Ballinger leads 3-1

The Bearcats are coming off their best performance of the season and will need another one like it or better to stay in the playoff chase.

Ballinger fell to Brady 34-27 last week, scoring more points in that one game the previous seven games combined (18).

They will need to be able to score to keep up with a TLCA squad that averages 30.6 points per game.

The Eagles topped the Bearcats 34-27 last season to get their first ever win against Ballinger.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

The four-seed will come down to TLCA San Angelo and Ballinger.

If the Bearcats can win at home against the Eagles this week and at Grape Creek in Week 11, they’d be in. They could even end up in the playoffs with a win this week and a loss in the finale, but I believe the Eagles are in with a win over Ballinger this week.

Ballinger/Brady/TLCA Potential bi-district matchups: Crane (5-3) or Alpine (4-4)

STAT LEADERS

WALL (6-2, 3-0) AT EARLY (4-4, 3-0)

SERIES HISTORY: Wall leads 10-4

Early and Wall meet once again with a district championship on the line.

The Hawks got the best of the Horns last season 10-7 to knock Early to the two-seed and Early would love to return the favor this time around.

These are the clear cut-two best teams in the district and both have played well thus far in 2-3A Division II play.

Early shut out Grape Creek last week 54-0 while Wall took care of TLCA San Angelo 69-12.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

The winner gets the top seed, and the loser gets the two seed in the playoffs barring a pair of Brady wins over the final two weeks.

Early/Wall Potential bi-district matchups: Odessa Compass (3-5) or Tornillo (0-7)

MERKEL (5-3, 1-2) AT COMANCHE (4-4, 1-2) - THURSDAY

SERIES HISTORY: Comanche leads 8-3

After back-to-back district losses the Badgers will have to come through in a big way on the road to keep their postseason hopes alive.

Merkel fell 78-13 to Jacksboro last week and 23-20 the week before, while Comanche bounced back last week with a 60-15 drubbing of Dublin after losing four in a row after a 3-0 start to the season.

The Indians beat the Badgers 49-14 last season.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Eastland, Comanche, and Merkel will be in a fight for the final two spots, and Millsap could even miss out if they lose to both Jacksboro this week and Merkel in Week 11.

Merkel will have to find a win, or two, at Comanche and at home against Millsap, and Comanche hosts Merkel this week and goes to Eastland in Week 11. The Badgers best chance is to win both, as they’d lose a tie-breaker with Eastland.

Millsap/Eastland/Merkel/Comanche Potential bi-district matchups: Holliday (7-1), Henrietta (4-3) or City View (5-3)

EASTLAND (2-6, 1-2) AT DUBLIN (1-7, 0-3)

SERIES HISTORY: Eastland leads 38-18-2

Eastland heads to Dublin looking for a win to help their playoff chances.

The Mavericks came up short in a 25-21 home loss to Millsap to drop to 1-2 in district last week and now head to Dublin. The Lions have lost three in a row to begin district action, including a 60-15 loss to Comanche last week.

The Mavs have won 12 straight against the Lions, including a 35-27 win last season that was their only victory. The last Dublin win was 17-0 in 2006.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Eastland, Comanche, and Merkel will be in a fight for the final two spots, and Millsap could even miss out if they lose to both Jacksboro this week and Merkel in Week 11.

The Mavericks have a very winnable game at Dublin this week and will host Comanche in the finale.

STAMFORD (7-0, 4-0) AT #6 HAWLEY (6-2, 4-0)

SERIES HISTORY: Stamford leads 22-11

Folks in the Big Country have had this one circled on the calendar for quite some time as the defending state champs host unbeaten Stamford.

Hawley has won 27 district games in a row dating back to 2017 when they lost to, wait for it, Stamford 35-32 in the last game of the regular season.

Both teams have been great offensively: Stamford averages 44.6 points per game, third best in the Big Country and Hawley averages 34.3, tenth best in the Big Country.

Both are pretty darn good on defense as well, with the Bulldogs giving up 7.9 points per game (tops in the Big Country) and the Bearcats allowing 13.3 per game (third best in the Big Country).

Hawley has played the tougher schedule and should be battle tested. Stamford’s win last week over Anson was their first over a team with a winning record since beating Hamlin in week one.

Hawley beat Olney 51-7 last week and the Bearcats have outscored their district foes 201-19 so far.

The Bearcats have won five straight over the Bulldogs and shut them out 32-0 last season.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

The winner will get the top seed in the playoffs and at least a share of the district championship.

CISCO (3-5, 3-1) AT ANSON (5-4, 3-1)

SERIES HISTORY: Cisco leads 18-12-1

The winner here avoids the four-seed in the playoffs out of District 4-2A Division I.

Anson is coming off a tough 41-7 loss to Stamford and has something to prove against one of the tougher teams in the district. The teams the Tigers have beaten this year are a combined 8-32 on the year, so they’re beating the teams they should and now hope to step up against tougher competition.

Cisco was off last week but lost 28-13 to Stamford in its last outing. The Loboes have also taken care of business against teams they should beat and beating Anson would give them their first win this season over a team with a winning record.

Cisco beat Anson 41-6 last season and have won 13 in a row over the Tigers. The last Anson victory was a 9-7 decision in 1989.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Cisco and Anson are both in the playoffs and the winner of their game will see who avoids the four-seed.

HAMILTON (4-4, 1-3) AT BANGS (2-6, 1-3)

SERIES HISTORY: Bangs leads 8-7

The loser here sees their playoff hopes come to an end.

The Dragons played without some key players in a 61-6 loss at Tolar last week while Hamilton kept its postseason chances alive with a 27-20 win over De Leon.

The Dragons took down the Bulldogs 34-27 last year and have won five of the last six meetings in the series.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Hamilton and Bangs are still all in the playoff mix with two weeks to play.

Both teams will need to win out, which will be tougher for Bangs as they wrap up the regular season at Coleman next week.

COLEMAN (6-2, 3-1) AT DE LEON (6-3, 3-2)

SERIES HISTORY: Coleman leads 11-5

The Bluecats travel to battle the Bearcats in a game that should decide the two-seed from the district behind Tolar.

Coleman was off last week, while De Leon came up short 27-20 against Hamilton.

The Bearcats have lost two in a row after a 3-0 start to district play. Coleman beat Hamilton 29-22 in its last outing.

De Leon has not scored a point against Coleman in the last three meetings. The Bluecats shutout the Bearcats 50-0 last season, 47-0 in 2021 and 35-0 in 2020.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Coleman and De Leon have a big matchup this week in De Leon, with the winner more than likely ending up as the two-seed.

De Leon already has wins for potential tiebreakers over Bangs, Goldthwaite, and San Saba, but those three plus Hamilton are still all in the playoff mix with two weeks to play.

The Eagles need to win to stay in the playoff race after suffering a 40-35 loss to rival San Saba last week.

Tolar topped Goldthwaite 56-0 and have won the last three games in the series.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Tolar is headed towards the district title and the top seed from District 5.

HAMLIN (5-3, 1-2) AT #1 ALBANY (8-0, 3-0)

SERIES HISTORY: Albany leads 30-18-1

Hamlin's 28-6 home loss to Cross Plains last week could end up keeping them out of the playoffs, but they are still in the hunt with two weeks to go.

Their task is a very tough one however as they finish the regular season against Roscoe and Albany.

The Lions turned it on over the final 18 minutes against the Plowboys last week, turning a 10-7 third quarter lead into a 44-7 final score to lay claim to the outright district lead with two weeks to go.

Albany has won the last two games in the series, including a 55-6 decision last year. The Lions have taken 13 of the last 15 matchups with the Pipers.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Albany, Miles, and Roscoe look like the clearcut top three teams in the district, with Cross Plains’ win over Hamlin last week likely giving the Buffs the edge in the race for the final spot.

Cross Plains finishes at TLCA Abilene and Miles and could open the door for the Pied Pipers with a pair of losses. However, Hamlin closes with Albany and Roscoe in two tough games over the last two weeks.

SERIES HISTORY: Cross Plains leads 1-0

Cross Plains continues its three-game road trip to wrap up the regular season at TLCA Abilene Friday night.

The Buffaloes got a big win at Hamlin last week to stay in the playoff chase while the Eagles are coming off a 56-6 loss at Miles that dropped them to 0-3 in district play.

The Buffaloes shut out the Eagles 61-0 last season in the first meeting in the series.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Cross Plains can stay in the driver’s seat for the last playoff spot from the district with a win over the Eagles.

TLCA Abilene has been eliminated from playoff contention.

MILES (6-2, 2-1) AT ROSCOE (6-2, 2-1)

SERIES HISTORY: Roscoe leads 12-5.

The Plowboys host the Bulldogs with the winner most likely getting the two-seed out of the district in the playoffs.

Both teams only district loss was to Albany. Roscoe fell 44-7 last week while Miles was shut out 41-0 two weeks before.

Miles has bounced back the last two weeks with easy wins over Hamlin and TLCA Abilene, but their high-powered offense will be put to the test again this week against a very good Roscoe defense.

The Plowboys have the #5 scoring defense in the Big Country giving up 16.4 points per game, while Miles has regained the top spot in scoring average on offense at 48.1 points per contest.

Miles beat Roscoe 77-26 last season.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

The winner here is in control of the two seed behind Albany.

ELECTRA (3-4, 1-3) HASKELL (3-5, 3-2)

SERIES HISTORY: Electra leads 16-7

The Indians play their final game of the regular season this week at home against Electra.

Haskell is ahead of Electra in the district standings, but the Tigers still have a shot at the postseason if they can upset the Indians on the road.

Haskell is coming off a 41-13 loss at #9 Seymour while Electra was off last week and will host Windthorst in Week 11. Electra lost 44-6 to Seymour in its last outing.

The Indians blew out the Tigers 49-6 a year ago to pick up their first win in the series since 1997. Electra won eight straight against Haskell before last season.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Seymour and Windthorst meet this week to decide the district championship. The winner gets the one-seed and the loser the two-seed.

Haskell can lock in the three-seed with a win over Electra on Friday, but if they lose, it opens up a lot of what-if scenarios between the Indians, Tigers, Petrolia, and Archer City.

Archer City plays at Petrolia this week. If the Pirates win they are in, but if they lose they open the door for the Wildcats and Electra to nab the final spot.

Seymour/Windthorst Potential bi-district matchups: Lindsay (4-5) or Celeste (6-2).

#2 KNOX CITY (8-0, 1-0) AT VALLEY (4-4, 1-0)

SERIES HISTORY: Knox City leads 4-1

The district title is on the line Thursday night as the unbeaten Greyhounds visit Valley.

The Patriots blew past Spur last week 53-0 while Knox City won 62-0 at Northside to set up this battle of district unbeatens.

Valley has won two in a row over White Deer and Spur while the Hounds have not lost or really been challenged since week one against Westbrook.

Both teams have faced Crowell this season, Knox City won 51-6 while Valley lost in a 62-61 shootout.

The Greyhounds beat Valley 50-18 in 2022, which was the first meeting between the two teams since 1988.

Westbrook got past Hermleigh last week 76-30 while Ira coasted past Roby 52-6.

Westbrook beat Ira 58-12 last season and have won three straight in the series.

HIGHLAND (5-3, 1-2) AT HERMLEIGH (6-2, 2-1)

SERIES HISTORY: Highland leads 30-13

Highland and Hermleigh will meet in a game that will eliminate the loser from the playoff chase.

Highland shut out Rotan 46-0 last week to stay alive while the Cardinals fell to Westbrook. Despite the 76-30 loss Hermleigh can feel good about scoring more points in one game against the Wildcats than Westbrook's previous six opponents had combined (28).

The Cardinals beat the Hornets in a close contest a year ago 58-50.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

The Cardinals can eliminate the Hornets with a win over them this week, while Highland can potentially earn the two-seed if they win and Ira loses both of their remaining games against Westbrook and Hermleigh. In that scenario, it would come down to points between 3-2 Hermleigh, Highland and Ira squads.

Hermleigh and Westbrook wins this week would set up a playoff to make the playoffs next week between the Cardinals and Ira.

#1 GORDON (8-0, 3-0) AT BAIRD (6-2, 3-0)

SERIES HISTORY: Gordon leads 2-1

Baird has a huge challenge and a huge opportunity when top-ranked Gordon comes to town Friday night.

The Bears and Longhorns are the last two unbeaten teams in District 9 and the winner will have the inside track at the title.

Baird blew out Gordon last week 63-18 while Gordon is coming off a 61-0 shutout win at Lingleville.

The Horns have the top six-man scoring defense among all the teams in all the Big Country districts giving up just 4.5 points per game and their offense is very good as well putting up 55.3 per game, ninth best in the area.

The Longhorns beat Baird 54-8 in their 2022 matchup.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

This one comes down to a three-horse race (Baird, Bryson and Gordon) for the two playoff spots from District 9.

Baird will challenge unbeaten and top-ranked Gordon for the district lead this week, and the winner will clinch a playoff spot.

With a loss, the Bears and Bryson would meet in a playoff game before the playoffs in Week 11 if Bryson wins at Gorman this week.

Jayton continues to dominate and will most likely wrap up a perfect season and a district title with a win over Patton Springs in Week 11.

The Motley County at Aspermont game in that same week should decide the second playoff spot, but the Hornets will have to beat Guthrie at home this week to make that happen.

The Mustangs cruised past Chillicothe 40-0 last season and have won three in a row in the series.

The Raiders were off last week but fell 70-22 to Rule their last time out.

Woodson lost to Throckmorton 52-8 last week.

Woodson beat the Raiders 50-6 last season to snap a four-game Lueders-Avoca winning streak in the series.

SERIES HISTORY: Loraine leads 28-20

Loraine picked up a win when it really counted last week, earning victory number one of 2023 in a 71-52 decision over Blackwell.

Trent has to upset the Bulldogs to stay in the postseason picture and will have a lot of work to do after falling to Bronte 54-6 last week.

The Bulldogs beat Trent 55-0 in 2022 and have won 13 straight over the Gorillas in the series.

SERIES HISTORY: Blackwell leads 4-3-2

Blackwell and Bronte square off in a key district matchup Friday night.

The Longhorns got past Trent last week while Blackwell came up short against Loraine.

The Hornets need to win this one to have any shot at the playoffs, while Bronte needs to win one of its last two games to get in.

The Hornets topped the Horns 66-20 last season in what was the first meeting in the series since 1933, still surprising since the towns are just 15 miles apart.

Paint Rock beat the Bulldogs 72-22 last season to move to 5-0 all-time in the series.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

BLANKET (5-3, 2-0) AT SIDNEY (5-3, 1-1)

SERIES HISTORY: Blanket leads 27-9-1

The Tigers head to Sidney in a game this is huge for both teams in the playoff race.

Blanket has blowout wins over Gustine and Mullin to kickoff district and has won four in a row.

Sidney fell to Zephyr 21-20 last week and now has to beat Blanket to have any chance at making the postseason.

The Tigers have been scoring at will over the past four weeks, averaging 65 points per game to climb to sixth place in the Big Country in scoring average for the season.

The Tigers roared past the Eagles 58-28 last season to clinch a playoff spot. They have won 16 in a row in the series dating back to the last Sidney win in 1999.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Lots of intrigue over the final two weeks here.

Zephyr took a huge step towards the playoffs with a 21-20 win over Sidney next week and will sit back and watch the Eagles host Blanket this week.

A Tiger win would set up a district championship showdown for the second straight season between Blanket and Zephyr, but a Sidney victory keeps all three teams in the mix in Week 11.

SERIES HISTORY: Cherokee leads 23-5

The Mustangs visit sixth-ranked Cherokee needing to pull off an upset to have a shot at the playoffs.

Brookesmith fell 68-0 to Richland Springs last week and now gets another very tough test. Cherokee beat Rochelle in an 84-72 shootout lay claim to the second playoff spot in the district at the moment.

The Indians got a forfeit win over Brookesmith last season. They have won the last six games in the series.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Brookesmith can reach the playoffs with upset wins over Cherokee and Rochelle over the final two weeks.

Rochelle would need to beat Brookesmith in Week 11 and hope for very unlikely Cherokee losses to Brookesmith and Lohn to get in.

SERIES HISTORY: Abilene Christian leads 3-0

Abilene Christian hopes to bounce back from last weeks tough loss to Fort Worth Covenant Classical with a home contest against Denton Calvary.

The Panthers are off in week 11 and would love to head into the bye week with some momentum and make sure they enter the playoffs as the two-seed from District 1.

The Panthers beat the Lions 51-6 last season to stay a perfect 3-0 all-time in the series.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

Fort Worth Covenant Classical is headed towards the district title thanks to beating Abilene Christian last week.

Four teams per district make the playoffs in TAPPS D2, so the Panthers are good to go as the likely two-seed.

Denton Calvary, Keller Harvest, and Midland Trinity will duke it out over the final two weeks for the last two playoff spots.

Calvary has a tough road to the playoffs as they visit both FWCC and ACS over the next two weeks.
