Brookesmith at TLCA Abilene Photos

The Eagles fell in a tight contest to the Mustangs 30-26 Thursday night at Curly Hayes Field in Abilene, but they certainly seem to be on the right path under first year head coach Jeremy Kirk. TLCA Abilene only scored six points during the entire 2020 season, so the 26 against Brookesmith was a program high. It’s also the first time they’ve played a full four quarters.

Brookesmith wasn’t sure if they’d even field a team this season due to low numbers, so gritting out a win of any kind, especially with just seven players suited up, is something they’ll sign up for every time. Congratulations to head coach Todd Lawdermilk for earning his first victory as head coach of the Mustangs.
