A big part of my life has been spent on sidelines with a big TV camera on my shoulder, so it has been a bit weird for me not shooting video since my family and I moved back to Abilene a couple years ago.

Well, I got to “scratch that itch” (with a much smaller camera) this past week and followed the Hardin-Simmons football team around for their final regular season game and quest to reach the Division III playoffs.

As a former “player” (I did practice a lot) for the Cowboys, Selection Sunday was a tough pill to swallow — but I really felt for the players who put so much into their season just to miss out on the playoffs.

Anyway, here is the (longer than expected) video I put together for the game and the week.
