Hamlin vs. Muenster Photos

While my Proud Pied Piper wife was at work, her parents and I loaded up the kids and headed to Graham to see a great/heartbreaking playoff game for Hamlin.

My father-in-law was doing color commentary for the Hamlin broadcast of the game and I didn’t feel like my mother-in-law would be too happy with me leaving her in the stands alone with three crazy kids, so I snapped a few photos from the stands.

Congrats to Muenster on moving on, but this one will hurt the Pipers for quite a while. Four turnovers for Hamlin + zero for Muenster = a disappointing defeat. The Pied Pipers nearly sent the game to overtime (they scored twice in the final five minutes to tie the game at 28) but Muenster hit a deep pass inside the Hamlin five-yard line and got the game winning 19-yard field goal from junior Martie McCoy as time expired. Yes, she’s a girl, and yes, she got a pressure packed kick to go through to knock off a team that reached the state title game a year ago.
