The Gorillas kicked off 2023 with a 51-6 road victory over Lueders-Avoca in a battle of new head coaches.
Troy Sparks’ team rode a great first-half performance from freshman Michael Wallis, who scored four first-half touchdowns to give Trent a 32-0 lead at the break. Chanse Williams also caught a touchdown pass from Hayden Payne to help the Gorillas build their big lead.
Wallis ended up with seven touchdowns in the game.
The Raiders fall to 0-1 in the Reese Wilson era and will battle the Roby JV next week.
Trent will host Lohn.
