Week 15 Rewind

Aledo 56, Abilene High 21

The Eagles saw an outstanding season come to an end with a loss to top-ranked, defending state champion Aledo.

The Bearcats jumped out to a 28-0 lead after one quarter, but the Eagles put a pair of touchdowns on the board in the second quarter, thanks in part to two big special teams errors from Aledo, and trailed 28-14 at the half.

Abilene High had its chances in the third but could not put any points on the board. Aledo added three more touchdowns to put the game away.

The Eagles finish the year at 11-3, their first double-digits in the win column season since 2016.
