1A Division II MVPs

Postseason awards have been rolling in for players across the state, and in the six-man ranks the Big Country has been very well represented.

Our pick for the 1A Division II Offensive MVP this season is Jayton’s Bode Ham, who ran for 1,645 yards and 41 touchdowns this season. He also caught 16 passes for 349 yards and eight touchdowns.

Benjamin’s Keegan Hayes, Jayton’s Sean Stanaland, and Loraine’s Matthew Bolen all had great seasons and were strongly considered for the Big Country 1A Division II Offensive MVP as well.

The pick for the 1A Division II Defensive MVP is Colt Gentry.

Gentry racked up 127 tackles this season and was also the Defensive MVP of the state championship game, where he returned a fumble 73-yards for a touchdown.

Griff Reel from Jayton and Tallon Hayes from Benjamin were considered for Defensive MVP.

Many more Big Country players delivered quality seasons, and they are listed as the Best of the Rest for 2024.
