2A Best of the Big Country
Here is a look at the best of the best in Class 2A from the Big Country Blitz distribution area.
We are truly blessed to see tons of talented players at the 2A level in our area, making this list a tough one to compile.
The offensive MVP is Cisco quarterback Hunter Long, who edged out some GREAT talent like Albany QB Cole Chapman, Hawley RB Austin Cumpton, Bangs RB Guy Powell and Roscoe QB Jax Watts just to name a few.
The defensive MVP boiled down to a handful of area stars, with Hawley safety Kason O’Shields getting the nod thanks to not only his 79 tackles a year ago but the eight interceptions he hauled in. The Hawley defense as a whole could have been named MVP after their amazing run in 2021. Coleman LB Ryland Gentry also received consideration.
The Big Country is stacked with talented teams and players in 2A, and it may have justified a list for Division I and Division II.
