STAMFORD, Texas — The Bearcats stayed perfect on the season with a 32-0 victory over Stamford Saturday night in a game that was postponed a day due to very wet field conditions.

Stamford intercepted a pass on the first play from scrimmage and set up deep in Hawley territory, but turned the ball over on downs and remained scoreless the rest of the game.

Hawley scored first on a Rodey Hooper to Kason O’Shields touchdown pass and added an Austin Cumpton run and a Landon Sykora touchdown run to build a 20-0 halftime lead.

The Bearcats improve to 9-0, 5-0 while Stamford drops to 7-2, 3-2.

Hawley hosts Cisco next week in a game for the district championship, while Stamford visits Colorado City and is already set as the #3 seed in the playoffs.
