2A Division II MVPs
Albany’s Branson Beal is the Big Country Blitz 2024 2A Division II Offensive Most Valuable Player, while Roscoe’s Ivan McCann is the choice for the Defensive MVP.
Beal ran for 1,345 yards and 30 touchdowns, caught 18 passes for 432 yards (a spectacular 36 yards per catch) and seven more scores, and also returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
McCann was a force for the Plowboys up front, and is one of the better running backs in the area as well on offense.

Miles WR Cooper Ellison: 67 rec, 1323 yds, 21 td; 31 yds, 1 td passing
Goldthwaite RB Luke Sanderson: 1175 yds, 15 td rushing; 37 rec, 576 yds, 6 td
Albany QB Chip Chambers: 143-238, 2244 yds, 25 td, 12 int
Haskell QB Haegen Pinkerton: 110-196, 1294 yds, 9 td, 6 int; 939 yds, 13 td rushing
On defense, the players in the MVP mix were:
Miles’ Jaylen Torres, Hamlin’s Luke White, Albany’s Coy Flowers, and Haskell’s Beaux Shaginaw.
